The Places Nearby section lets you list points of interest close to your property — train stations, universities, shopping centres, parks — with distance and travel time. This helps guests quickly assess whether your location suits their commute.
How to add a nearby place
- Log in and click My Listings in the Dashboard sidebar.
- Click Edit listing next to your listing.
- Go to the Amenities tab (Step 3) and scroll down to the Places Nearby section.
- Click + Add Place.
- Enter the place name, distance (with unit), travel time in minutes, and transport mode.
- Click Save.
Repeat for each place you want to add. To remove an entry, click the × button next to it.
What to include
- The nearest train or tram station and approximate travel time
- Universities or TAFE colleges within a reasonable commute
- The nearest supermarket or shopping centre
- Proximity to the Australia CBD
Tip: Guests often search by proximity to a specific suburb or university. A well-filled Places Nearby section helps them immediately see whether your location works for them.
